Self-Levelling Compound

Self-levelling compound gives you a flat, smooth subfloor before you lay tiles, LVT or laminate. Ark Tiles stocks the Larsen range for UK delivery, from single 20kg bags to full pallets. Our best seller, Larsen SLC1550 Rapid Set Pro, is a single-part, fibre-reinforced leveller: just add water, pour 3–50mm in one application and take light foot traffic after 2–4 hours (manufacturer data). It is certified to BS EN 13813 CT-C25-F7 and compatible with underfloor heating. For thinner pours there is SLC3015 (3–15mm), for two-part latex jobs LLC206, and for concrete and sand/cement screeds SLC100.

What is latex self levelling compound? It is a two-part leveller: a powder mixed with a liquid latex rather than water. Larsen LLC206 NA is a protein-free, moisture-tolerant 2-part latex compound with high flexibility and strong adhesion, so it can go over most old adhesive residues, often without extra priming. Apply from a feather edge up to 10mm (30mm with aggregate). Light foot traffic after 1-2 hours, floorcoverings from 4-6 hours. Buy a single 20kg bag of LLC206 NA or a 40-bag pallet.

How much self-levelling compound do I need?
It depends on the floor area and the pour depth. As a guide, a 24-bag half pallet of Larsen SLC1550 covers roughly 48–72m² at a 3–5mm pour, and a 48-bag full pallet roughly 96–144m². Larsen LLC206 covers about 4.5m² per 20kg bag at 3mm. Use our levelling compound calculator for your room.

How soon can I walk on it and lay flooring?
Larsen SLC1550 takes light foot traffic after 2–4 hours and can be overlaid in 1–3 days. LLC206 takes light foot traffic after 1–2 hours, with floorcoverings from 4–6 hours. Always follow the drying guidance on the bag for your depth and room conditions.

Can I use self-levelling compound over underfloor heating?

Can I buy self-levelling compound by the pallet?
Yes. SLC1550 comes in single 20kg bags, 24-bag half pallets and 48-bag full pallets, delivered kerbside by tail-lift. The 48-bag pallet is over £499 on its own, so it qualifies for free UK delivery.
