GoPoxy Poly Grout White 01 – UV-Resistant Tile Grout
See all GoPoxy colours and the tool kit.
GoPoxy Poly Grout White 01 is a two-part polyurea (polyaspartic) tile grout made to stay white.
GoPoxy describes its Poly Grout as fully UV-resistant: unlike epoxy grout, it does not yellow or fade in sunlight, so white grout lines stay bright. It comes in a twin cartridge with one mixing nozzle, and the two parts mix in the nozzle as you apply. The peel-off formula is designed to leave no grout haze and needs no harsh detergents to clean up. It is fast-curing too: surface dry in about 1 hour and fully cured in under 8 hours.
Not the same as our other GoPoxy colours: those are GoPoxy No Mess epoxy grout. Poly Grout cures faster and resists yellowing, but an opened tube cannot be saved for later (see below).
Where to use it
- Walls and floors, including mitred edges.
- Ceramic, porcelain and glass tiles.
- Bathrooms, kitchens and steam rooms. GoPoxy describes it as waterproof and resistant to water, stains and harsh chemicals, curing to a solid, non-porous finish that resists cracking, mould and mildew.
- Residential and commercial tiling where you want a bright white joint that holds its colour.
Not suitable for
- Small or mosaic tiles. GoPoxy advises against them because of the extra time and cost of application.
- Highly porous stone such as sandstone.
What you need
GoPoxy lists its Tool Kit as required to apply Poly Grout. The GoPoxy Tool Kit (£55, sold separately, reusable) contains the double-barrel gun, finishing tools and priming wax. Each tube comes with one mixing nozzle.
Use it in one go
Poly Grout must be used in one go, without breaks. Leave the clear packaging on until you are ready to start: once exposed to air, the material begins to set, and an opened tube cannot be reused, even with another mixing nozzle. Plan to finish the job in one session and work steadily.
How to apply
- Make sure the joints are clean, dry and free of dust and adhesive. Apply GoPoxy priming wax or masking tape to the tile face to help with clean-up, and test a small area first.
- Warm the sealed tube in warm (not boiling) water before use. GoPoxy suggests 10–15 minutes. This softens the material so it dispenses easily and the two parts mix properly. Don't let water get into the tube.
- Remove the clear packaging, put the tube in the double-barrel gun and attach the mixing nozzle.
- Discard the first 40cm of grout so both parts are fully mixed.
- Apply slowly, making sure the joints are completely filled, then shape them with the GoPoxy finishing tools.
Drying and curing
Surface dry: about 1 hour. Fully cured: under 8 hours, depending on temperature and conditions.
Storage, care and safety
Store in a cool, dry place between 8°C and 18°C, away from direct sunlight. Clean grouted areas with pH-neutral cleaners only, as acid or alkaline products can damage the grout surface. Wear gloves, eye protection and a mask, make sure the area is well ventilated, don't smoke or use open flames while working, and keep the product out of reach of children and animals. A Safety Data Sheet is available from GoPoxy on request.
Usage responsibility notice: GoPoxy grout is produced to strict quality standards, but results depend on correct surface preparation, application technique and site conditions. Lighting, tile material and surroundings can affect how the finished colour looks. Always carry out a small test application on an inconspicuous area before completing the installation. By using this product, the installer accepts responsibility for checking compatibility with the chosen surface and for outcomes resulting from incorrect use, environmental factors or not following the instructions.
Delivery: Free UK delivery on GoPoxy orders of £60 or more, otherwise £4.95, typically 1–2 working days, sent from Coventry. Free Click & Collect on in-stock items at our Coventry showroom.
Questions people ask
Is this the same as GoPoxy's epoxy grout?
No. White 01 is GoPoxy Poly Grout, a two-part polyurea (polyaspartic) grout. Compared with GoPoxy's epoxy grout, it is UV-resistant, so it won't yellow in sunlight, and it cures faster, but an opened tube can't be saved and reused. Our other GoPoxy colours are the No Mess epoxy grout.
Will white grout go yellow?
GoPoxy says its Poly Grout is fully UV-resistant and does not yellow or fade in sunlight, so white and off-white grout lines stay bright over time.
How long does it take to dry?
It is surface dry in about 1 hour and fully cured in under 8 hours, depending on temperature and conditions.
Can I save leftover grout for another day?
No. Poly Grout must be used in one go, without breaks. Once it is exposed to air it starts to set, and an opened tube can't be reused, even with a new mixing nozzle. Leave the clear packaging on until you are ready to start.
What do I need to apply it?
The GoPoxy Tool Kit, which GoPoxy lists as required: it has the double-barrel gun, finishing tools and priming wax. Warm the sealed tube in warm (not boiling) water before use so it dispenses easily, and discard the first 40cm so both parts are fully mixed.
Can I use it in a shower or kitchen?
Yes. GoPoxy describes it as waterproof and ideal for wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and steam rooms, and resistant to water, stains and harsh chemicals. It isn't recommended for small or mosaic tiles or highly porous stone such as sandstone.
