For a kitchen wall or splashback, pick the format, finish and colour: slim 6×25 cm metro, 10×20 cm and 20×20 cm tiles for a classic look, or 60×120 cm gloss porcelain for fewer grout lines. How to choose kitchen wall and splashback tiles
Start with the format. Slim 6×25 cm metro tiles give the classic splashback look and can be laid stacked, vertical, brick-bond or herringbone. Our 10×20 cm Pixel tiles have a handcrafted-look edge and can be laid in a grid, brick-bond or diamond. The 20×20 cm Noble tiles work as a checkerboard when Black and White are laid together. For a wall with fewer grout lines, look at the 60×120 cm wall-and-floor tiles, or the RAK Ceramics 30×60 cm tiles.
Then gloss or matt. Gloss reflects light; the product pages say it helps smaller rooms feel brighter, and the Oceania White page says its gloss finish is easy to wipe. Matt softens light and gives a quieter wall (Serene Blue Matt, Serene Brown Matt, Noble, RAK). Como White is a low-sheen satin. Oceania is a textured gloss with a handcrafted-look surface.
Then the colour. White and soft white: Edgy White, Oceania White, Pixel White, Noble White. Blue: Serene Blue (gloss or matt), Oceania Blue, Urban Blue. Green: Oceania Green, Pixel Green. Warm tones: Urban Yellow, Pixel Beige, Serene Brown. Black: Noble Black.

Metro tiles for kitchen splashbacks (6×25 cm)
All nine are wall tiles. Pack coverage is shown only where the product page states it; the £/m² figure is that price divided by the coverage. It is maths, not a lower price on the page.

Larger kitchen wall tiles (60×120 cm and 30×60 cm)
These are wall-and-floor porcelain tiles. A big format means fewer grout lines across a splashback or a full wall. All six Ark tiles below name kitchens on the product page. Where the title says "Floor Tile", the product page says it suits walls and floors.
