Quick-Step laminate buying guide (UK)

Written by The Ark Tiles team.

Prices checked 3 Oct 2026.

Ark Tiles sells Quick-Step laminate in eight ranges: Capture, Classic, Muse, Impressive, Impressive Ultra, Majestic, Eligna and Creo (90 designs, prices checked 3 Oct 2026). Pack prices run from £28.11 (Creo) to £109.05 (Majestic). Thickness runs from 7 mm (Creo) to 12 mm (Impressive Ultra). Coverage per pack is taken from each product's specification table. These floors use Uniclic and Hydroseal (Quick-Step, 3 Oct 2026) and need a separate underlay. They do not have an attached pad. Cut-size samples are free (£0), with £4.99 delivery, up to 5 per order. Free UK delivery over £499.

Which Quick-Step laminate range

This page is the buying guide for those eight ranges: board size, thickness, pack coverage, Hydroseal, Uniclic, and the pack price on the day we checked. It does not replace the shop grids. Use Quick-Step laminate or the wider laminates collection to buy. Nothing here crowns a best range. Eligna is its own range, not a leftover group.

Muse is the stone and tile format. The other seven ranges are wood planks. Majestic is the long wide plank. For example, Majestic Desert Oak Brushed Dark Brown. Creo is the entry thickness, at 7.0 mm. Capture is the 9.0 mm plank. Impressive Ultra is the 12.0 mm plank.

Prices are the live Ark collection on 3 Oct 2026: 90 products, vendor Quick-Step, type Laminate Flooring, one variant each. Coverage, thickness and panels per pack are from the specification table, checked on every design that day. Board length and width come from the same table, and they match the board-size line in the description. Where the short coverage line under the description does not match the table, this guide uses the table. The £/m² column is maths: pack price divided by that coverage, rounded half-up to two decimal places. It is not a price printed on the product page, and it is not a laying rate.

Range Designs Board (L × W × thickness) Coverage / pack Panels / pack Ark pack price, 3 Oct 2026 £/m² (maths)
Capture 18 1380 × 212 × 9.0 mm 2.048 m² 7 £67.43 on all 18 £32.92
Classic 15 1200 × 190 × 8.0 mm 1.596 m² 7 £33.83 on 14 designs. £47.40 on Havana Oak Natural with Saw Cuts (CLM1656) only. £33.83 gives £21.20. £47.40 gives £29.70.
Muse 11 1200 × 396 × 8.0 mm 1.901 m² 4 £57.22 on all 11 £30.10
Impressive 10 1380 × 190 × 8.0 mm 1.835 m² 7 £45.89 on Classic Oak Beige (IM1847) and Soft Oak Natural (IM1855). £46.10 on Classic Oak Natural (IM1848), Soft Oak Light (IM1854), Soft Oak Medium (IM1856) and Classic Oak Brown (IM1849). £53.42 on Soft Oak Grey Planks (IM3558), Patina Classic Oak light Planks (IM3559), Patina Classic Oak Grey Planks (IM3560) and Soft Oak Light Brown Planks (IM3557). £45.89 gives £25.01. £46.10 gives £25.12. £53.42 gives £29.11.
Impressive Ultra 10 1380 × 190 × 12.0 mm 1.311 m² 5 £49.29 on all 10 £37.60
Majestic 10 2050 × 240 × 9.5 mm 2.952 m² 6 £109.05 on all 10 £36.94
Eligna 10 1380 × 156 × 8.0 mm 1.722 m² 8 £41.82 on all 10 £24.29
Creo 6 1200 × 190 × 7.0 mm 1.824 m² 8 £28.11 on all 6 £15.41

One live product page from each range:

Classic is not one pack price. Fourteen designs are £33.83. Havana Oak Natural with Saw Cuts (CLM1656) is £47.40. Impressive is three pack prices, not one: £45.89, £46.10 and £53.42, on the designs named in the table. A lower pack price is not automatically a lower figure per square metre. Read the coverage column with the price. Creo's £28.11 pack covers 1.824 m², so the maths is £15.41/m². Majestic's £109.05 pack covers 2.952 m², so the maths is £36.94/m².

Some Classic product titles still include 7 mm. The specification table on all 15 Classic designs says 8.0 mm, and the Classic technical data sheet, edition 02/2026, also says 8.0 mm. This guide uses 8.0 mm. Creo is the range whose table says 7.0 mm.

Thickness, underlay and Uniclic

Thickness in the table is the specification-table figure: Creo 7.0 mm, Classic, Muse, Impressive and Eligna 8.0 mm, Capture 9.0 mm, Majestic 9.5 mm, Impressive Ultra 12.0 mm. That is the board, not a wear-layer measurement. Quick-Step states abrasion as a class and a cycle count on the datasheet, not as a millimetre thickness, so this guide does not give a wear layer in millimetres.

These laminate ranges do not have an attached underlay. The Quick-Step technical data sheets opened on 3 Oct 2026 (edition 01/2026 or 02/2026, depending on the range) show a panel build-up of wear layer, decor, HDF core and back stabiliser, with no pad in that build-up. You need a separate underlay. Quick-Step underlay rolls are in the underlay collection. This guide does not name a roll as the required underlay for a given floor. None of the product tables checked names one.

That is the opposite of the Quick-Step LVT guide. LVT is a different product family. The LVT ranges in that guide are click vinyl with an attached underlay. Do not lay these laminate ranges as if they were that vinyl, and do not buy LVT trims for this floor.

The click system on the Ark specification table is Uniclic for Capture, Classic, Muse, Majestic, Eligna, Creo, Impressive Ultra, and for seven of the ten Impressive designs. Three Impressive tables only say "Click system": Classic Oak Beige (IM1847), Soft Oak Natural (IM1855) and Soft Oak Light Brown Planks (IM3557). Quick-Step's page for IM1847, opened 3 Oct 2026, lists Uniclic. This guide does not invent a different click system for those three.

Class, Hydroseal and underfloor heating

Usage class on the Ark specification table is Class 32, "Suitable for moderate commercial use", on Capture, Classic, Muse, Impressive, Majestic, Eligna and Creo. Impressive Ultra is Class 33, "Suitable for heavy commercial use". Class 33 is that range's table. It is not a ranking of the eight ranges.

Hydroseal is the water line on the Ark table for Capture, Classic, Muse, Majestic, Eligna, Creo, Impressive Ultra, and for seven of the ten Impressive designs. The same three Impressive tables (IM1847, IM1855, IM3557) only say "Water resistant". Quick-Step's page for IM1847, opened 3 Oct 2026, lists Hydroseal. Those three shorter Ark rows are not proof that Impressive lacks Hydroseal. This guide does not repeat a spelling error that appears in the Ark water-resistance cell.

Underfloor heating on every Ark table checked is the word true, with no temperature. The Quick-Step technical data sheets (edition 01/2026 or 02/2026) say the floor is suitable on Quick-Step underlay, and they say to see the special instructions. No contact temperature was printed on the eight laminate datasheets opened on 3 Oct 2026, so this page does not add one. Follow Quick-Step's install sheet for the range you are laying. The word true is not a substitute for that sheet.

Warranty has to stay as two lines, and the source is Quick-Step, not the short Ark cell on its own. Quick-Step laminate warranty conditions V05.2026 give a lifetime residential warranty for Capture, Classic, Eligna, Impressive, Impressive Ultra, Majestic and Muse, and 20 years residential for Creo. Commercial cover in that table is 5 years for most of these ranges, and 10 years for Impressive Ultra. Lifetime in that sentence is residential only, and only beside the commercial line. Creo is not a lifetime warranty.

The Ark table itself is less precise. On Classic, Muse, Impressive, Impressive Ultra, Majestic, Eligna, and 17 Capture designs, the cell says "Lifetime warranty" and tells you to consult the warranty conditions. It does not say residential. Capture Patina Oak Grey (SIG4752) has no warranty row at all. Creo's Ark cell says "20 year warranty" only. Use the Quick-Step split above, not the bare Ark word.

How many packs

Divide the floor area by the coverage per pack, then round up to a whole pack. Coverage is from the specification table: Capture 2.048 m², Classic 1.596 m², Muse 1.901 m², Impressive 1.835 m², Impressive Ultra 1.311 m², Majestic 2.952 m², Eligna 1.722 m², Creo 1.824 m². The £/m² column uses the same division, with pack price in place of room area. Classic at £47.40 and the three Impressive pack prices change that maths. They do not change the coverage.

A 20 m² room, before any extra for cuts, is 10 Capture packs (20 ÷ 2.048 = 9.77), 13 Classic packs (20 ÷ 1.596 = 12.53), 11 Muse packs (20 ÷ 1.901 = 10.52), 11 Impressive packs (20 ÷ 1.835 = 10.90), 16 Impressive Ultra packs (20 ÷ 1.311 = 15.26), 7 Majestic packs (20 ÷ 2.952 = 6.78), 12 Eligna packs (20 ÷ 1.722 = 11.61), or 11 Creo packs (20 ÷ 1.824 = 10.96). Door openings and a diagonal lay will change the count.

Quick-Step's Capture page, opened 3 Oct 2026, says to order about 10% extra for cutting loss. The same planning line is on the other Quick-Step range pages opened that day. That 10% is Quick-Step's note, not a rule Ark has set. This guide does not price labour, laying, or fitting.

Samples, delivery and returns

Not sure on the shade? Order a free cut-size sample of any Quick-Step laminate (£0). Delivery is £4.99 per order, up to 5 samples. The same offer covers our tiles and LVT. Order samples or shop Quick-Step laminate.

You may cancel an online order and return all or part of it within 14 days of delivery. Unused products in their original cartons, in a condition fit for resale, are what the returns and refunds page describes. This guide does not shorten those conditions, and it does not call the returns free.

Skirting, Incizo and stairs

Skirtings and profiles are separate products. These are laminate trims, not the LVT trims. Prices were checked on 3 Oct 2026. If a price moves, use the product page.

Skirting is listed in the skirting collection. Profiles are in profiles and trims. Stair covers are in the stair covers collection. Matched decor is chosen on the product page.

The stair how-to already on this site is written for LVT, not for this laminate. For laminate stairs, use the laminate stair cover and the Incizo profile above, with the aluminium subprofile. This guide does not treat an LVT stair piece as a laminate stair cover.

FAQs

What is the difference between Capture, Classic, Muse, Impressive, Impressive Ultra, Majestic, Eligna and Creo?

Use the table. Muse is stone and tile format. The others are wood planks. Majestic is the long wide plank, 2050 × 240 mm. Creo is the 7.0 mm range. Impressive Ultra is the 12.0 mm range and the only Class 33. Classic has one design at £47.40. Impressive has three pack prices. There is no winning range.

Do I need a separate underlay?

Yes, for these laminate ranges. The datasheet build-up has no attached pad, and the floor-heating lines refer to laying on a Quick-Step underlay. See the underlay collection. This guide does not name a required roll.

Can I use it with underfloor heating?

The Ark specification table marks underfloor heating as true. Quick-Step datasheets (edition 01/2026 or 02/2026) say suitable on Quick-Step underlay, and they say to see the special instructions. No contact temperature is stated here. Follow Quick-Step's install sheet.

How much does a pack cover?

The coverage column is the specification table: Capture 2.048 m², Classic 1.596 m², Muse 1.901 m², Impressive 1.835 m², Impressive Ultra 1.311 m², Majestic 2.952 m², Eligna 1.722 m², Creo 1.824 m². The £/m² figures are pack price divided by that coverage. They are maths. Classic at £47.40 and the three Impressive pack prices are the outliers.

Can I get a sample?

Yes. Cut-size samples are free (£0). Sample delivery is £4.99 per order, up to 5. Tiles, laminate and LVT are included. Use the free tile samples page. This guide states no sample size and no sample delivery time.

What warranty is it?

From Quick-Step laminate warranty conditions V05.2026: lifetime residential for Capture, Classic, Eligna, Impressive, Impressive Ultra, Majestic and Muse; 20 years residential for Creo; commercial 5 years, and 10 years commercial for Impressive Ultra. The Ark cell that says only "Lifetime warranty" does not state that split. Creo's Ark cell is "20 year warranty" only. Capture Patina Oak Grey (SIG4752) has no warranty row on the Ark table.

Is delivery free?

The only delivery line on this page is in the opening answer. No other delivery offer is stated here.

Can I return it?

Within 14 days of delivery you may cancel and return all or part of an online order. Goods should be unused, in the original cartons, and fit for resale. See returns and refunds. This is not described as a free return.
